Star Cinema on Thursday released a teaser for “Unbreakable,” a movie about two women whose friendship is tested because of love. Angelica Panganiban and Bea Alonzo, former co-stars in the 2006 teleserye “Maging Sino Ka Man,” reunite with their director in that project, Mae Cruz-Alviar, for this upcoming film. Richard Gutierrez, who transferred to ABS-CBN in 2017, is acting with both Star Magic artists for the first time. The minute-long teaser establishes the close friendship of the characters portrayed by Panganiban and Alonzo in their college years. Years later, however, that promise appears on the verge of getting broken, as news of the wedding of Alonzo and Gutierrez’s characters is welcomed coldly by the character of Panganiban. “Unbreakable” is scheduled for a nationwide release on November 27.

Unbreakable, based on the teaser. 1. Bea and Angelica’s characters literally bump into each other during a college gig which starts their ~unbreakable~ friendship. 2. Their college scenes are set in the 2000s, as emphasized by the cringey wigs and even cringier fashion. (This was pre-Insta, selfies, and smartphones, so sorry na lang!) 3. All seems well for the besties until their BFF montage cuts to present-day with Bea’s character happily cuddling up with her fiancé, played by Richard Gutierrez. The couple are on FaceTime, it seems, with Angelica’s character on the other line, and ask her if she’s ready for their wedding! The camera shifts to her face and SHE DOES NOT SEEM PLEASED. AT ALL. Movie cast Starring Bea Alonzo, Richard Gutierrez, Angelica Panganiban, Ian Veneracion, Rosanna Roces, Gloria Diaz, and directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, Unbreakable looks like one movie you’ll definitely want to watch with your BFFs. Here is the movie trailer.
